Rachel Bishop from What's Your Stitch in Long Beach will be introducing her quilt shop. She will be bringing some of her products, talking about classes and programs, as well as doing some show and tell. Come and support a new local quilt shop!
Members who wish to participate this month should make 4 rail fence blocks (6 1/2inch squares) in pastel or spring colors. These should be turned in the March business meeting where one participant will win all the blocks!
Bay Oaks will be hosting the GSQA meeting in July. The theme will be "Halloween in July," and the guild is going to be giving attendees homemade treat bags. We are asking each member to make 5 of these bags and turn them in by the June program night.
This year's challenge is based on the time of year you were born! The colors you may use are that of your birthstone and two other of your choosing. Your quilt should be inspired by either the season you were born in or a holiday in your birth month. These quilts can be any size, and may be just quilt tops or quilted and finished. These are due at the holiday party in December.
